Fiji may seem remote even in 2016 – Australia has its second largest island at 6008sqkm and more tourists flow to New Zealand – and few Western countries even have an indigenous population large enough to take them seriously (and some – such as Papua New Guinea – won't admit they can, even today).
So how are such disparate communities related in such complex ways? Who could blame them: not for us, it is clear! They have something much more powerful – and enduring – than a handful of white explorers. Fret over that for one little blog, one tiny place to learn why they share so completely so beautifully to survive.

You would say it's all just smoke without trying? Then don's take offence at that!
